Laminaran (or laminarin) is a storage polysaccharide of Laminaria sp and other brown algae such as Ascophyllum nososum. It is a linear polysaccharide made up of β-(1-3)-glucan with some CHEMICAL STRUCTURE OF LAMINARAN: Biomass sources: Potential activities: Laminaran is claimed modulates immune response in mammals.
