Scleroglucan

Scleroglucan is a natural polysaccharide produced by fermentation of the filamentous fungus Sclerotium rolfsii. Its chemical structure consists of a linear β-(1-3) D-glucose backbone with one β-(1-6)-D-glucose side chain every three main residue.

POTENTIAL ACTIVITIES
Scleroglucan is intended for drug delivery system improvement. More precisely, scleroglucan is suitable for the preparation of sustained release tablets and ocular formulations. Scleroglucan also have applications in formulation for agriculture.
