PEL101GV® - Vineyard Frost Application
![]() |
SCOPE OF APPLICATION AND EFFECTPEL101GV® is a plant elicitor (plant natural defences stimulant) to be used preventively on grapevines to limit frost damage from freezing temperatures occurring in spring season. |
MODE OF ACTION
The active substance of PEL101GV® is recognised at the surface of the leaf and it induces a succession of biochemical cascades. It interferes directly by regulating the accumulation of free radicals generated as a consequence of the cold stress. The application of PEL101GV® results in the accumulation of cryoprotectant molecules, glucose for example, which lowers the cells freezing point and prompts the acclimatisation to cold conditions. |
CONDITIONS OF USEThe product must be applied between 12 to 48 hours prior to a frost event. PEL101GV® is efficient down to -5°C.
Once the weather forecast is available and a frost event is forecasted, it is important to apply the product as soon as possible. |
